How to keep resident inconvenience to a minimum

Everyone dreams of a fresh bathroom. But for housing associations, the road to get there is often a logistical nightmare full of dust, complaints, and delays.

An emergency shower in the backyard for weeks? That is really no longer necessary. At Walloop, we turn that renovation stress into resident happiness. And, good news: we do it lightning fast.

Our mission is simple: to offer innovative, sustainable solutions that simplify installation. How do we deliver on that promise? By working smarter, not harder. Here are four of our principles for a renovation that actually makes you happy.

1. The wrecking ball can take early retirement

Traditional tiling always starts with the same recipe: demolition, noise, and mountains of rubble. That is an assault on the resident's hearing (and patience).

Our solution: we simply leave the tiles where they are. The Walloop panels are mounted directly over the existing tiling. No dust, no demolition, no noise, and significantly less waste to be disposed of. In addition, our products have been developed in such a way that every all-round mechanic can install them perfectly with standard tools.

2. Who wins the bathroom sprint?

A traditional bathroom renovation takes an average of 2 weeks (and weekends). That is two weeks during which the resident loses their privacy. With Walloop, we reduce the turnaround time to 5 days.

Before you know it, we are gone again. This not only saves on complaints, but also high costs for temporary accommodation or hotel stays.

Every project is custom work, and therefore every project timeline is too, of course.

3. Dry construction is the best defense against idle hours

Waiting for cement or grout to dry is pure waste of time for a project manager. And that is exactly what it is. Our panels and shower floors can be worked on immediately with standard tools.

The solid construction of our shower floor can bear loads up to 200 kg and is ready for use immediately after installation. This means the mechanic can make real progress and you can deliver more bathrooms with the same team.

Good to know: Walloop wall and floor panels are designed so that any all-round mechanic can install them perfectly with standard tools. Maximum efficiency in an increasingly tight labor market.

4. Built for generations

Walloop is made for the long term. The non-porous surface ensures that dirt cannot take hold. That means no discolored, aged grout or sealant, and therefore no leaks. The top layers are chemically resistant (so suitable for most cleaning products), saving residents cleaning time and allowing housing associations to significantly reduce turnover maintenance. If a panel is unexpectedly damaged anyway? It is easy to replace or repair.

We do not build for the next round of renovations, but for the world of tomorrow. By choosing long-lasting solutions now, we lay the foundation for a responsible and future-proof housing market. Together, we ensure that today's bathroom sets a sustainable standard for the generations after us.

Resident satisfaction as the foundation

A renovation project stands or falls on how satisfied the residents are: that is what always stays with them.

By keeping the inconvenience to a minimum, you not only increase resident satisfaction but also lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through lower labor costs, fewer maintenance costs, and costs for temporary housing.
